We got our first Gordon Setter, Reuger, from a local breeder. We quickly fell in love with the breed and all of the unique characteristics they have. The sweet temperment, the loyal and fun loving character, the energy and the ability to lounge when relaxing. Really an amazing family dog. 

When looking to add another Gordon to our family and looking into their history, I realized that they are classed as a vulnerable breed, And with that, they are not as easy to find if you are looking to get a really good quality dog with health tested parents and responsible breeders. With that in mind I looked overseas.

Rhyder (Can Ch Ride the Wild Wind of the Purple Fallow) was my first foray into getting a breeding quality dog. He was imported from a kennel in Belgium in 2018. Rhyder is a stunning male, well within the standards. He has an amazing temperment, very sweet and loving. He is very active and has been hunting in the field since he was a year old. He is a confident dog and handles new situations with grace and a calm demeanor. That being said he can be energetic and makes a perfect hiking partner. 

Rowan (Can Ch Amscot Air of Distinction) comes from the prestigious Amscot kennel in the UK, I feel very fortunate to have acquired her as the foundation bitch for my breeding program. The Amscot kennel is one of the only Kennels to have bred 2 World Dual Champion Gordon Setters, one of which is Rowans mother, W CH Amscot Love is in the Air. Rowan is a solid female with a fabulous conformation and a confident stride. She is loving and a bit more mischievous than my boys. She is super confident and is usually at the front of the pack when investigating anything. 

Both of these dogs finished their Canadian championship by the time they were a year old and and very competent in the field. They are also much loved members of the family.
